About

I'm Colin Haas.

I am a computer science student at Virginia Tech in the U.S. ProbablyBenGames is my one-person (for now) indie studio. I design, program, animate, and (occasionally) score the games I make. When I'm not deep in an engine, I'm probably writing a devlog about it.

How it started

I grew up always playing video games. As I got older I started having ideas of all sorts of games I wanted to play, that didn't exist. So I gave making games a shot so I could bring said ideas to life, found I really thoroughly enjoyed the process of game development, and here I am. Back on Your Feet is the first of many game ideas I plan to fully execute on and publish to Steam.

How it's going

ProbablyBenGames is now my full focus. My one flagship project will be launching to Steam this summer, I have a steady stream of jam experiments under my belt, and a YouTube channel where I document everything, including but not limited to the wins, the rewrites, and the bugs that became features.

What I care about

Honest design. Tight controls. Games that respect your time but reward your attention. And above all else unique ideas. I want to and plan to make games that are unlike anything else in the industry.
